Karen Breeding, counseling, integrative breathwork, Austin, TX My philosophy regarding counseling is that there are no outer experts to the inner journey. Thus, my role in working with someone is to guide them to what they already know is true.

I believe we all have an inner awareness of our truth, but through life experiences and socialization, that truth sometimes becomes buried. Counseling can be the process where your truth is uncovered and seen for all its beauty. It is always an honor to hold space and be witness to a client's unfolding.

I am a licensed psychotherapist in private practice in Austin. I specialize in working with couples and individuals of all ages who are in the transformational process, and have over 10 years experience working with the HIV community. I am also an LPC supervisor, and am available to provide supervision to LPC interns.

In addition to counseling, I facilitate Integrative Breathwork workshops throughout the year. I am certified in Soul-Based Psychology and Integrative Breathwork with Eupsychia Institute (see www.eupsychia.com).

I recently established, along with Steve Milan, LCSW, a new community counseling agency across the street from our Kerbey location. Sol Community Counseling offers counseling services at a reduced rate through pre-licensed therapists whom Steve and I supervise.
